Welcome

I know you are on this site because you love Troy and care about him. The family wanted to create this to keep friends informed of his progress and share God's blessings, grace and mercy that He has shown us over the past weeks. We have come far, but the journey is still long. Please continue to keep us in your daily prayers. We thank and love you. I leave you with this - Troy's last words to Robin before the ventilator was put in, "Our God is an Awesome God".

Benefit Results

Thank you to all friends and family who came out in support of Troy at the Music Benefit last night. It was a great time! Many got to sit down and visit with Troy and I know he appreciated you coming. And we heard some fantastic music! Thank you to all those who were willing to get up and share your talents with us. We had 50-60 in attendance and raised $1,680.00! I know this will be a great help to Troy and his family. Thank you again. Troy has finished his therapy at rehab; the rest of his strength building is on him. He has exercises to do at home. He is taking his blood sugar tests regularly and learning how to keep it in line. He is getting stronger and his appetite is coming back. Our prayer is for him to have the willpower and desire to stick with a diet and exercise program. I am confident he can do this, but it may be the biggest challenge of his life. This may be one of the toughest times for Troy. He may need to find a dependence on God like never before. A lifetime of eating style...extremely hard habits to break, especially if certain things don't taste good to you. You can not remove yourself from food. This is a battle he will be faced with everyday several times a day. Conscience choices must be made at every snack and meal. He was in an unconscious battle while in the hospital; his body was fighting the battle. Now begins the conscience one, where he is in control. This probably won't come as a shock to you...but Troy is headstrong! He doesn't always listen to the loving advice we try to give concerning diet and exercise. This is his battle. We can't fight it for him, or believe me, we would. In many ways, we must just watch and pray for him to be victorious. Pray for us as a family to have wisdom to use the right words and actions to help him stay the course. "Our God is an Awesome God"
